Dark Raspberry, Purple, Green and Gold

Here’s another Spyralle Gossamer, especially for Mardi Gras.

Spyralle Gossamer Mardi Gras

This is a gift for Spyralle Studio group members for a short time, in world. The hair is my current favorite Evelyn from Truth. The skin is that lovely Jewel from Curio in Honey [Dark] Amethyst 1. The eyes are Fashism ‘Sunrise’ Eyes in Egyptian Blue. No shoes. I seem to go barefoot a lot in SL.

I made masks out of fractal lace for Mardi Gras, too. The first one is a special edition in Dark Raspberry for the 52 Weeks of Color Challenge. The second is in more traditional Mardi Gras colors.  They’re unisex – I dropped them on a male friend and he looked utterly scrumptious in them.

Here the model is wearing ‘Details’ hair by Elikatera in Brown 08.

The lace of the mask is composed from images I drew in Fractint in 1999. Fractint GIF images were restricted to 256 colors, which made it possible for someone (not me) to invent a coloring algorithm that outlined each separate area of color. And that made it possible to create a lace effect by doing a few things in post-processing. I do not know of any way to do this in UltraFractal.

The Fractal-a-Day project continues, though I am not doing very well at getting the images rendered out and posted. Therefore, I tend to do them in batches. You can find it here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/28907487@N06/with/6814586611/
