Réalta is the Irish word for stars. These glowing Gaussian integer fractals always remind me of the magnificent photos of stars, nebulae and galaxies taken by the Hubble Space Telescope – the lights of the sky on a background of black velvet!
For your festive dancing and fireside dreaming, I made Réalta, a long gown in black velvet, painted with stars. Réalta is exclusive to Team Diabetes Winter Showcase for the duration of the event, offered at a discounted event price. All proceeds from Winter Rose and Fireside go to The American Diabetes Association.
I must confess … this one is my favorite. Not as green as the Aurora Borealis when I’ve had the good fortune to see it, but the blue tones make this dress a perfect gem for a selkie of the Sea.
There should be purple Auroras, don’t you agree?
Or maybe this one is my favorite, also, suggesting lights that welcome in windows and warm comforts waiting inside – hot chocolate, freshly baked cookies, good friends, music and laughter.
The Winter Showcase and Art Fair continues through 10 December. Spyralle also has a gift in the Reindeer Hunt – a desk or table clock in seasonal colors. The clock face is an original fractal image by Kerryth Tarantal – the same one used on the walls of our Winter Showcase shop. Hunt items cost 10L, all proceeds to the American Diabetes Association.
